Rajni Kanth -- A Mania or A name to celebrate ?

Rajni Kanth , the name that forces the blood to rush hard in the bodies of millions of fans of this Superstar. The latest movie Sivaji has not only broken most of the film records in India and Overseas, but also has risen the debate of whether the people have to go crazy at the Reel Heroes. This is probably a debate which is more complicated than the question of "which came into existence first - the hen or the egg".

The mantra Rajni has not only influences people in Tamil Nadu, which is the land which gave him fame, the people of Karnataka, the land which gave him his livelihood in his earlier days as a Bus conductor....and also Maharastra, he land where he was born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad.., but also Japan , Singapore, US , UK and other European countries.

The unchallenged Kind Of Box Office records has always faced only one person to challenge him ..HE HIMSELF. Each time he comes up with his new movie once in 2-3 years , it generated ripples that later form waves like tsunami across the cinema lovers, breaking his own previous records...it may be the remuneration he takes or the collections before the release or even the collections after the release or the highest rate of black ticket ( which people in fact take as a prestige to buy).

Is he a mania or "Is this craze a celebration of the success of common man". I always felt that the success story of Rajni Kanth has not influenced people to to achieve their goals with patience and simplicity. I have never come across a person who doesn't enjoy his films.....though most of them claim to do so ..but always end up enjoying his films. People speak of his simplicity..his hard work and the appreciate him from the bottom of their hearts..but I always failed to understand why the hearts that are intelligent enough to appreciate a man's success never try to adapt his qualities..but always try to follow his goal. People tend to follow the style with which he lights the cigar ..instead of watching the scene as an entertainment.

What ever may be the debate... I to agree that he is a phenomenon....an addiction that can neither be avoided nor can be got rid of.
The amount of charity that is done by him and his family ..his fans can be taken as inspiration rather than his style of lighting cigar( which he himself has given up in his real life too) and the amount of money that gets wasted in the Palabhishakam (down pour of milk on his cut-outs) and garlands can be donated to people. What people don't realise is that there are many young babies in India who are still starving for drops of milk for their survival. Don't you feel like slapping the fanatics wasting the milk?....Other day a person of TV was sharing his craze about how he has been watching his films again and again and spending most of his earnings for the ticket.....Has he ever thought how he and his family would survive for the rest of the month ...............such deeds may increase the hype to that personality but later after everything is subdued..the same act would result in the unrepairable dark spot to his image. These people claim to be his die-heart fans ..but he always discouraged such acts.....as his famous punch line goes " na oru dadava sonna nooru dadava sona madri" ( if I say it once, it is equal to saying 100 times) why don't the fanatics follow his instruction which he says thousands of times ...which if understood as his punch line means, is equal to (thousands)x 100 times.
